Everyone else does Yacht Week and shit for their 30th; well I want to go to this fucking island.

What you need to do

Register interest on this form! So here's the deal: the place only sleeps 12, and I have many more than that of you I'd like to invite. So I've divided the week in to 4-day slots, and am inviting people in groups so I don't get 30 yes's at once. Please fill out the form and let me know if you want 1 or 2 slots and your degree of commitment. I expect everything to fill up, so please try to commit early. The plan is to include the island AND EVERYONE STAYING NEARBY IN PLACENCIA, so don't feel left out if the island books up!

What will this cost?

Approx $200/head/night, so each 4 day slot is $800 + food/drinks. This includes 2-person room, service from a private chef, and private boat captain to/from island on-call.

What's the general area?

An island off Placencia, Belize. Placencia is a major beach district, with lots of hotels, restaurants, bars, and beaches. See the trip map for the list of important nearby places I'm tracking so far.

What's getting there like?

Generally, you fly in to the international airport Philip S.W. Goldson (BZE). From there:

• you can take shuttles to Placencia (we get a complimentary one if we arrive as a group; otherwise, group ones are $200-$500, cheap if you put a lot of us in it), which takes a few hours

• or, you can fly domestically right to Placencia Airport (PLJ) for around $100, which takes about 40 minutes, and they'll pick us up (or take a taxi).

Once there, we'll have our private boat for water taxiing, can rent bikes (Placencia is small and easy to get around), rent cars, etc..

Itinerary

Don't know exact plans yet, but we'll do some of all the following:

• Relaxing, partying, and playing games on our private island!

• Drinking/eating/beaching in nearby Placencia

• Probably a few trips for whomever wants to, like diving, mayan ruins, maybe a boat party day, etc.

So if you're in Placencia instead of on the island, you can join for everything!

We're a couple and we want some alone time. That's great! Sign up for one slot (or 0 slots) and stay in the nearby hotels in Placencia for the rest (or wherever you like!)

Seems expensive! Nearby hotels in Placencia are much cheaper; stay there for some or all of it, and join in the festivities!

All the slots filled up, or I wanted to stay longer! That's ok; can't fit everyone as much as they want! Register your interest, and you'll still be able to join the festivities from nearby Placencia!

What does our private boat do? It just takes us from the island to the nearby Placencia LHC Sunset Point Dock. They try to keep it to 2-3 round trips per day, so expect to be able to get to and from the island mostly at will, but maybe with some coordination from everyone.

What's Next?

I'm going to be inviting people in groups and locking in slots for a while. I'll send updates to the thread you were invited on, and eventually coalesce people into an email group + whatsapp. Expect deposits to be asked for by end of March/April. Then we'll start thinking of activities, flights, party plans, etc..
